Halloween is right around the corner and besides the changing weather, the pretty leaves and festivities, Wright State also has haunted trails to kick off the holiday.
Nightmare on Springwood Lane is a Haunted trail created by the Honors Residential Assistants and it is the first time it is being thrown by this group; the Oak, Maple and Pine Residential Assistants previously organized this event. The trail will be located in the Woods dorm area this year and will lead you towards the wooded area.
“This trail will be pretty scary this year,” senior Jessica Ohler, the person in charge of throwing this event, said.
Admission to attend this event is two canned goods or three canned goods for a cup of hot chocolate, too. All proceeds go to the WSU Friendship Food Pantry.
This event will be on Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m.
Another haunted trail being added this year is the Tower of Terror, which is being thrown by the Outdoor Resources Center (ORC). This trail is a little different from Nightmare on Springwood Lane and it requires climbing a 60-foot tower and grappling down if you dare.
The trail is located at the challenge course behind the Nutter Center and there are scare zones as well. This event is October 30 and there is a $5 charge to attend this event. The event is run by students and all proceeds go to ORC to improve the climbing wall and provide more resources for students to use for the climbing wall.
