The Raiders are in Utah for Thanksgiving week to play three games in four days.
The undefeated Raiders (3-0) are playing their first game since their home opening win over North Carolina A&T last Friday.
Their next three games take place at the University of Utah as part of the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament. The Raiders play Central Michigan on Wednesday, and then play on Friday and Saturday against Idaho State and Utah, respectively.
Junior Cole Darling, who was injured in WSU’s win against Eastern Illinois, did not dress against North Carolina A&T. Head Coach Billy Donlon said Darling will miss all three games this week as well.
“It is a very big deal,” WSU sophomore Reggie Arceneaux said. “Cole is a player that any team would love to have on their team because he is an all-around player that can fill the stat sheet.”
Darling’s absence will leave WSU without much depth in the post as sophomore Tavares Sledge and junior AJ Pacher will carry most of the load in the paint.
WSU junior Miles Dixon, fresh off a 14 point performance against North Carolina A&T, told Top Billing Sports the Raiders intend to win the tournament. Arceneaux is focusing only on CMU.
“We will take this tournament one game at a time because we are humble about our craft,” Arceneaux said.
Wednesday’s game can be heard on 100.3 FM (6 p.m. ET) and a live radio stream can be heard on www.myclasssiccountry.com.
