Help children in need and have fun at the same time

In support of local children’s clinics, the Greene Community Health Foundation is bringing Bowling for Babies to Beaver-Vu Bowl on Jan. 26.

The event begins at 7 p.m., and attendants can bowl between 7:30 and 10 p.m.  Tickets are $20 per person or $15 each for groups of 10 or more, and include bowling, shoes, pizza and drinks.

“It’s about giving back to the community they live in and helping families in need,” Laurie Fox, the Development and Safe Communities Coordinator at the Greene County Combined Health District, said. “This event provides additional funding for the various children’s clinics here at the Greene County Combined Health District.”

There will be prizes such as tickets to Monster Jam Thunder Nationals at the Nutter Center, The Dayton Funny Bone at The Greene, arcade cash at Scene 75, coupons for Noodles & Company, passes for Regal Cinemas and Laser Web in Dayton.

“So many families have found themselves without a job, no insurance, and in danger of losing their homes,” Fox said. “The Greene Community Health Foundation assists families during times of need and, due to the economy, many are in need in our county.”

Registration for Bowling for Babies ends on Jan. 23.  For more information, contact Laurie Fox at 937-374-5669 or lfox@gcchd.org.
