WSU students looking to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day festivities will find an ample selection of drinking specials this weekend with the added discount of no cover charges.
Fox and Hound Beavercreek
$4 Bloody Marys and $3.50 Bud Lights will be flowing. The Monster Girls will pass around monster bombs after 9 p.m. on Friday and specialty drinks will include the Kryptonite Rita ($9.99), which is served in a large fish bowl, a Corona Rita ($7.99), Pineapple Upside Down drink ($7.50) and Fruity Lucy ($6.85). On Sunday, Fox and Hound will become especially festive with bag pipers and Irish dancers.
“We’re the best party in town,” Fox and Hound Manager Kori Anderson said.
Tuty’s Inn Restaurant
Tuty’s drink specials start Thursday, which is also “Pie Day,” where patrons will receive 50% off a 14-inch pizza when they purchase one at regular price ($9.99). In addition to pitchers of green beer for $6, Tuty’s will offer $4 dirty girl scouts and Irish car bombs for about $5 or $6, or three for $14. Purchase a St. Patrick’s Day-themed t-shirt for $16 and wear it in to receive a pitcher of Killian’s Irish Red.
“It’s fun here,” Tuty’s bartender Wendy Stevens said. She added that the green eggs and ham will start sizzling at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Top Dog Saloon
Along with $1 shots of lucky leprechauns and $1.75 20-ounce green beers, Top Dog Saloon is serving up a $2 shot special, which changes every hour beginning at 5:30 a.m. Sunday. There will be door prizes, beads and shirts given away as well as “a vacation package giveaway with no purchase necessary,” event coordinator Jeff Howard said.
Quaker Steak & Lube
Quaker Steak will offer Miller Lite pitchers, Killian’s Irish Red and Irish car bombs for $5 on Saturday and Sunday. Prior to the St. Patrick’s Day events, thirsty bar-goers can take advantage of Happy Hour savings Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close. Happy Hour specials include $3.50 domestic bottles, $2 well drinks, $3 long islands and $4 margaritas.
W.O. Wright’s
Enjoy W.O.’s live music on Saturday’s and various drink specials throughout the week.
Happy Hour runs 3-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and includes half price appetizers each day.
Mondays feature 22 oz. drafts (9 p.m. to midnight), Tuesdays include $2.50 imports (9 pm. to midnight) and Wednesdays have $2 well drinks for ladies and 50 cent drafts (9 p.m. to midnight).
$4 pitchers are available Thursdays (9 p.m. to midnight). Beer goers can take $2 off pitchers of beer on Fridays and Saturdays and guzzle down $2 tall drafts (3 p.m. to 2 a.m.) and $1.50 well drinks (9 p.m. to midnight).
