Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science named new university provost

Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science Sundaram Narayanan has been named the new university provost, and will begin his tenure on March 18.

Narayanan as chosen among six finalists in the search for the new provost.

Narayanan has worked for Wright State for 18 years as a professor, chair and dean in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. During his time as dean, the school saw the highest enrollment numbers in its history, and its research funding increased by 67 percent, according to an article by Communications and Marketing.

Narayanan will replace Steven Angle at provost, as Angle has accepted the position of chancellor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
