Wright State Student Legal Services announced Tuesday afternoon the promotion of one attorney and the hiring of a second for the 2013-14 academic year.
Stephanie Allen, a lawyer at Student Legal Services since 2008, was promoted as managing attorney of the service. She became the interim manager after the previous managing attorney Michael Booher left the service.
Allen obtained her law degree from the University of Dayton in 2005. Before that, she received an undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 2001.
Jill Sink will join Student Legal Services and she will serve as the service’s associate attorney. Sink, also a graduate from the University of Dayton, was hired at the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office in its Criminal Division after graduating in 2003.
According to the service’s webpage, Student Legal Services has been representing WSU students since 2000 and assists over 1,000 students annually. Every semester, students have the option to pay an $11 surcharge on tuition to help fund the service.
