Fall fest concludes first week of classes

With the first week of classes nearing a close, Wright State’s annual Fall Fest will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the North Lawn outside the Student Union.

“It really gives students a taste of what they can become involved with,” said Assistant Director for the Office of Student Activities Jack Pence.

“We’re having around 200 tables that also include local food vendors,” said Pence.

Options include Chartwells, Coldstone Creamery and Zombie Dogs, a local hot dog stand. Organizations will be selling edible items such as pizza slices, lemonade and Sno-Cones.

Many organizations are providing games and activities at their tables for students to win prizes and learn more about their group. RCA is planning a themed booth called “Get Active On Campus”. The purpose is to get students more involved with their community and join a council or RCA.

“Students are encouraged to be involved and try to sign up to join community council,” said sophomore Courtney O’Connell, a Social Sciences Education major.
