WSU returns home Friday evening to face Cleveland State to conclude the regular season. The game has huge implications for the Raiders.
If WSU wins Friday’s contest, the Raiders will clinch a first-round bye in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament. If the Raiders win and UW-Milwaukee, the defending Horizon League champs, loses at Oakland, WSU will win the regular season league title and host the Horizon League semifinal and finals.
Volleyball: Raiders push Phoenix to brink, lose in five

After winning only two of the previous 36 sets against its last 12 opponents, the Raiders’ volleyball team stormed back against Green Bay Saturday to force a fifth and decisive set, only to fall 15-13 in the final frame.
WSU dropped the first two sets 25-18 and 26-24, then won the third and fourth sets 25-18.
Miranda Puthoff recorded 44 assists for the Raiders. Stephanie Ruffing added 12 kills and 12 digs. Katie Glassmeyer had 17 digs.
The Raiders (0-9, 6-21) continue the search for their first conference win in the Susan Clements era against Youngstown State Friday on the road.
Swimming and Diving: WSU men continue to roll, women’s team falls against Milwaukee
The impressive start first-year head coach Kyle Oaks has helped his program get off to continued Saturday at the Wright State Natatorium with a victory over conference rival Milwaukee for the men’s swimming and diving team.
The men won 206-92, while the women lost 187-112.
WSU won 12 events on the men’s side and the women’s team placed first in four events.
Both teams will be action in Oakland against the Golden Grizzlies on Saturday a 1 p.m.
Men’s tennis: Maderas takes Flight C title at YSU
Wright State junior Aaron Maderas won five matches in a row to win Flight C singles title at the Youngstown State Invitational this weekend.
Maderas defeated Lawson Barter from St. Francis University in Sunday’s finals 6-1, 6-1. Maderas is 6-5 on the season.
Ricardo Pineda made it to the finals of the Flight B at the YSU Invitational after winning four matches throughout the weekend. Pineda stumbled in the finals Sunday against ASA College’s Jack Boling who defeated Pineda 6-3, 6-4.
The Raiders conclude their autumn schedule and will resume play in January.
