Second place Wright State (18-5, 7-2) will travel to UW-Green Bay on Thursday in a matchup between the top two teams in the Horizon League. The Phoenix (18-4, 8-1) won the last meeting at the Nutter Center on Jan. 7 by a score of 68-59.
Raiders head coach, Mike Bradbury, is 1-10 in his career against Green Bay. He praised the Phoenix by saying, “They have five players out there that can score at all times. They may not be great at any one thing but they’re well above average at everything.”
The two teams last met at the Kress Center in the Horizon League Conference Championship game last season. The Raiders got their first ever win at Green Bay with a score of 88-69. It was the first Horizon League Championship in program history for WSU, and provided them with an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
The Phoenix has won the Horizon League title 11 times in its programs history. Head coach, Kevin Borseth, has led them to eight Championships in 11 seasons with the last one being in the 2012-13 season.
Last time against the Raiders, the Phoenix won the rebound battle by 12 and had five players score in double figures. Forward Mehryn Kraker posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Megan Lukan nearly had a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
“They’re good,” Bradbury said. “They’re the best defensive team in our league. They’re the most efficient offensive team in our league.”
Wright State is ranked No. 10 in the NCAA and first in the Horizon League in scoring with an average of 79.6 points per game. They have won four straight games by playing team basketball with double-doubles by four different players.
WSU Breanna Stucke won the Horizon League Player of the Week award two weeks ago and has posted a double-double in three consecutive games. Versus Green Bay on Jan. 7, she scored 19 points with seven rebounds.

She ranks first in the Horizon League and fifth in the NCAA averaging 23.6 points per game and is second in the NCAA with 3.78 steals per game. Last time out against Green Bay, she scored 24 points.
If the Raiders win the game the two teams will be tied for first place in the conference. If Green Bay wins, it will have a two game lead in the standings against the Raiders.
The game will tip-off at 8 p.m. and will be available to watch online at ESPN3.com.
