UPDATE: The Millet Lot 11 entrance has been reopened as of today, 3/27.
The main entrance to Millett Hall leading out to Lot 11 will be closed today, March 26 and tomorrow, March 27 due to coolant repairs atop the building.
The roof of the Millett building is home to a major A/C unit and is in need of minor repairs. “That requires a pretty substantial crane to be able to lift up that material off the roof and then put the new material up,” Manager of Plant Operations and Management Betty Staugler said.
Although there are no adjustments being made to the actual entrance near Lot 11, the area has been deemed hazardous as long as there are crews working on the roof.
The Wright State bus system will still be stopping by the Millett bus stop during these two days, but the RTA bus system will not, due to the amount of space the large green buses need to turn into the lot. Those wanting to ride the RTA are encouraged to still use the stop by Allyn Hall and outside the front of the Student Union.
While the front entrance is out of commission, the door near the bus stop will be the temporary detour. “The front doors are the only ones with the handicap accessible entrance,” Associate Director Physical Plant Bill Knotts said, so in the meantime, the door near the bus top has a WSU staff member stationed there to help with the door for those who need it.
