From movies to coffee to reading, these subscriptions are the best choices for a student on a budget that wants a little extra something to look forward to throughout the school year.
- Netflix: A god in its own right, Netflix is one of the most popular subscriptions amongst college kids, and for good reason. Between classes and extracurriculars, being able to sit back and binge-watch is practically soothing, especially considering the low monthly cost.
- Mistobox: When they’re not sitting in Starbucks trying to crack out another English essay, they’re carrying around a paper cup or thermos of the most popular drink for students: coffee. Mistobox sends out 12 oz. of coffee every one, two, three or four weeks based on the subscriber’s personal preferences. It’s like a coffee lover’s dream.
- Artsnacks: For that frugal artist who can’t be bothered to search the internet for the latest, hottest art products, Artsnacks is a company that ships four to six high-end art products every month, along with a cute little snack to fit the name.
- Graze: “Healthy” is a near-foreign word to students living on Ramen and caffeine, but Graze is coming to the rescue with a regular box of delicious, healthy snacks that are perfect for in between classes, or even for a light breakfast.
- Dollar Shave Club: Does it even need said? Razors are pretty expensive, so fronting a few dollars a month for quality razors should be on anyone’s to-do list.
- Birchbox: Makeup can be found in every dollar store and marketplace on the map, but finding good makeup is the trick. Birchbox sends multiple hand-picked, quality beauty products for just ten bucks a month, so the subscriber can go online and buy the full-size product after trying it. Save up points by reviewing products and earn money to spend in the shop as well.
- Doteable: A company started by two college alumni, Doteable packages up a college care package that would make moms jealous. Both mini and full-size boxes are available, full of the basic items for any student.
- OwlCrate: Despite being buried under (rather expensive) college textbooks, plenty of students still have a knack for reading. OwlCrate is cute, monthly box filled with a YA novel and little treats or keepsakes that fit the theme of the book. Adorable, much?
- PijonBox: If Doteable sounded like a fun treat, but a little too basic, try PijonBox. It sends more detailed monthly boxes full of things the average care package might lack, like snacks and food, cleaning supplies and grooming and personal hygiene products.
- Amazon Prime for Students: Students can receive an incredibly affordable subscription for basic student desires and added bonuses, including music, videos, discounts, free shipping and Kindle books. All for a few dollars a month, this subscription is perfect for any student.
