Soon you can get a Big Mac with a side of hash browns at McDonald’s. Some breakfast menu items will be available throughout the day nationwide on Oct. 6.
McDonald’s has been testing the all-day breakfast menu since March in San Francisco, according to Anita Balakrishnan from CNBC. Now, the amended menu will serve certain breakfast items after 10:30am.
Julie Jargon from The Wall Street Journal said that McDonald’s customers have asked for breakfast later in the day for years, so the company instituted this change in order to improve a “sales slump” within the United States.
Not all McDonald’s restaurants will offer the same items for sale at all times. According to CNBC, the items that will remain on the menu during lunch and dinner times will depend on the individual store. Each store will be able to provide McMuffin products or biscuit products, but not both. However, platters and side will still be available.
