The Raiders fell 3-2 against Northern Florida in the first round of The Citadel Tournament on Friday.
WSU dropped the first set 25-17 but bounced back in the second set with a tight 25-23 win to tie things up 1-1.
Things remained close in the third set as UNF battled and won 26-24 with a chance to close out the match in the next set.
Wright State would not go away easy as they bounced back once again and won the set 25-19 to force a fifth and final set to 15.
In the final set UNF got on a roll and took the w by a score of 15-6 to win the match 3-2.
The Citadel Tournament will continue tomorrow as WSU will take on UNC Ashville in the next round starting at 9 a.m. followed by a matchup with the tournament host Citadel at 5 p.m.
