The Wright State University Activities Board hosted its annual Fall Fest today ending the first week of classes with food, games, inflatables and entertainment.
Campus organizations, vendors, like the popular Zombie Dogz food truck, and local businesses were set up in front of the north lawn, surrounding BART and the quad with the lively music and hustle and bustle of the event and providing nonstop fun for students and faculty.
“It’s so exciting because there are so many people on campus, and you don’t usually see so many people concentrated in one place. It’s nice to see the Wright State community come together just to have a good time,” said Eli Chizever, senior Mass Communication major and Social Media Manager for WSU’s College of Liberal Arts.
The event was slated to be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., however a fast approaching storm put the festivities to a halt around 2 p.m.
Many students and staff came out to represent their campus organizations, including Mass Communication senior Sarah Olsen. “I’m really happy to be representing Cru here. It’s cool to take a break from class to see what all of the organizations have to offer and to let students know about us,” Olsen said.
Even some faculty members took the time to enjoy the festivities. “I’m really enjoying the food this year; it's really amazing,” said Marie Hertzler, Chair and Professor for the Department of Modern Languages.
