Wright State University film students will show their work on screen Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. for the Big Lens Festival, held at the Dayton Art Institute.
12 short films created by WSU students will be on display at Big Lens, and will cover a variety of subjects, including dance, coming-of-age and more.
“The films this year offer a range of work that represent a diverse group of people and influences,” Lecturer in Theater Arts, Steven Bognar said in a release from the department. “Some of the highest quality films I’ve seen from the department yet are coming out of this group of films.”
According to the Department of Theater, Dance and Motion Pictures’ website, the Big Lens Festival occurs annually and has featured films that have won awards at larger festivals like Sundance.
Advanced tickets cost $9 and can be purchased through the Wright State Theater box office. Tickets will also be sold the day of the show for $10 at the Dayton Art Institute.
