The top 3 cartoons of our youth

As we quickly ascend the ladder which is life and the overbearing cloud of responsibility hovers over us, it is important to remember what once brought so much joy to our lives. I am of course talking about cartoons. 15 to 30 minute animated features that sparked a days’ worth of play and creativity, so sit back and joy your daily dose of nostalgia:

1. Hey Arnold

“Hey football head” if your formative years were spent in the mid-to-late 90s and the early 2000s you probably remember this show pretty well and this line by heart. This 90s cartoon, witch first aired on Nickelodeon in 1996, followed the daily escapades of the titular character Arnold as he went to school, hung out with friends, encouraged a certain peer to leave his stoop, and found peace and quiet in the apartment building he shared with his grandparents and their many tenants. This creative and memorable series which last for five seasons will always be considered one of the greats.

2. Rugrats

This show which aired for 13 years and spawned two full length features that made it to the golden screen will forever be considered as one of the greatest cartoons that molded the millennial generation, if not of all time. Following a group of babies with a mentality far beyond their years, this series showed us what it meant to truly use our imagination.

3. Ed, Edd and Eddy

This show was truly unique and offered a bizarre outlook on childhood shenanigans. The show followed three boys as they schemed, scammed, and talked their way into acquiring money for the convenient jawbreaker. This series featured a list of memorable characters and will always be remembered as that show your parents would not allow you to watch.
