The rumor of Limp Bizkit to perform at the Dayton, Ohio Wayne Ave. Sunoco surfaced during the evening Tuesday, April 19. The band and the Dayton Police have confirmed that this impromptu concert is indeed false.
The man behind the craze is Daytonian Brian Baker who created the event as a joke. Baker's Facebook event lists the concert as taking place in 2017 though dedicated fans and those up for a gas station concert were psyched to attend this random concert this year.
Some individuals on sites like Craig's List have even begun selling "tickets" to the alleged concert. Users are encouraged to dismiss these posts are they are labeled as scams.
Though the hoax of it all could be the real hoax, The Guardian will keep you updated should Limp Bizkit actually show up tonight at Sunoco.
