The members of the Search and Screening Advisory Committee who are tasked to find President Hopkins’s replacement have been announced on June 1 by Michael Bridges, chair of the Board of Trustees.
Hopkins announced that he will retire as president when his contract expires on June 30, 2017.
The WSU Newsroom reported the members of committee, which includes participation from faculty and students alike, as well as community leaders from Raider Country.
The committee will consist of representatives from the Board of Trustees, the President’s Cabinet, the Council of Deans, WSU faculty, the Alumni Association and other organizations.
From the Student Government Association, President Lukas Wenrick and Jordan Large, Director of Diversity and Inclusion, will represent the student body on the committee.
According to the Newsroom, a website will launch to help the Wright State community to follow the progress of the search for the seventh president of WSU.
