Best study spots on campus

While home is a good place to study and be comfortable with your surroundings, it can also become distracting when you have a bed you’d rather sleep in, or a TV you’d rather watch.

Wright State provides many different places across the campus with the benefit of being comfortable, while also studying and getting homework done.

First, the library is a very resourceful place to get work done. The second floor allows for socializing and group study sessions. Also on the second floor are small couches and chairs that are cushioned so you don’t get uncomfortable from long hours of studying. The third and fourth floors of the library are quieter areas where people can go for individual work that requires more concentration.

If you’re more of an outdoorsy person, Wright State has shaded tables right by the fountain where you can get work done while also getting some fresh air.

“I always see people around the tunnels studying because it’s so quiet,” said freshman Taylor Odom. “The library also has cool glass cubicles where you can really focus.”

Many buildings at Wright State also have study areas where students can get work done while eating lunch or waiting for another class, such as Fawcett and Millett Hall.

Next time instead of going home to study, try studying in one of the various spots that are available on campus. You may be able to get more work done and be distracted less.
