I have a #wayback Wednesday for all the millennials and youngsters out there. In a culture of Netflix, Hulu, movies and shows on demand and streaming of every kind, it’s hard to find a sitcom that you can laugh out loud to.
When I think of sitcoms I think of the 90’s classics, when hilarity and humor were at their greatest.
So, the first classic that comes to mind is Frasier, this one tops my list. It’s about Frasier Crane, a radio psychologist who gives advice and help but what happens outside of the radio show is really what gets you laughing until you cry.
We meet a cast of Frasier, his father who moves in with him, Niles his brother, Roz his director at the radio station and Daphne his father’s physical therapist and can’t forget Eddie the cutest Jack Russell Terrier.
Frasier came on the scene in 1993 and become a huge hit with eleven seasons it lasted eleven years until its end in 2004.
The humor is classic and a little dry, the material is relatable and you will fall in love with the characters. This classic is totally bingeworthy and you can find it on Netflix.
There are many classics you can find on streaming services like Netflix. They have many 90’s comedies, ones you may know like Friends or Saved By The Bell but a few you might not be so familiar with.
Cheers came out in 1982 and lasted until 1993, I know this one starts in the 80’s but it’s pretty funny and an easy watch as the episodes are short.
The other one on Netflix you might be interested in would be The Wonder Years, this one is a little different. It started in the late 80’s and is a comedy but also focuses on political and family issues that would arise at that time.
On Hulu there are many that most of us are probably familiar with like Full House, that just got an extension on Netflix.
Also, Seinfeld, Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Will and Grace.
So if you are feeling nostalgic and want to watch some shows that might be new to you, check these out!
