Rael Sammeroff is 21 year-old psychology major. His goals for after graduation include plans of going into research and working in a university or a private lab.
Sammeroff has been a member of the University Activities Board since his freshman year, and was elected for the position of vice president this past April. The purpose of UAB is to bring fun and innovated events to all students on campus.
“I decided to join my freshman year because UAB seemed to be a fun organization, and the most organized. I also enjoy planning events and seeing people react to the events," Sammeroff said.
Sammeroff has plans of running for president of UAB next year, and wants to ensure that the organization continues to grow and host quality events.
Even with forty team members to help plan and volunteer at events, being the vice president of an organization such as UAB can get extremely busy.
He is involved in pep band, psychology club and neuroscience club, in addition to taking seven classes this semester.
“My weeks are very busy, as vice president I work twenty hours along with homework, and classes. I also work in the research labs here on campus, but it is all fun and I really enjoy it all," he said.
Sammeroff decided to attend Wright State because it was the most affordable university for him. He has hopes of graduating with honors, and is in the process of starting his honors research project for the next year.
