Raiders of Wright State: Kimberly Dove

Chi Alpha is a Christian campus ministry that focuses on living life in a missional manner, and that includes living life together in community and spreading the gospel around campus.

Sophomore nursing student Kimberly Dove,19, has been involved with the campus ministry for two years, and has plans of becoming a nurse practitioner, and using her skills to work internationally on the mission field.

Dove decided to join Chi Alpha after her youth pastor from back home got her connected with the youth pastors at Wright State, but the family atmosphere, and the amount of love the people have for Jesus is what kept her here.

She works for student government, and helps to plan other mini events and activities -- and also volunteers at her church nursery, and leads worship on Sunday mornings.

Dove is currently a core group leader of Chi Alpha, and has been given the responsibility of leading a group of students of the same gender in weekly bible studies. She is responsible for disciplining and mentoring students within those groups, and really appreciates the opportunity she’s been given to help these young adults grow in their faith.

“I enjoy being a part of one big family. Whenever someone is in need there is at least one person there to pick that person up, and it’s amazing," she said. “Chi Alpha is something that you won’t regret even if you are not the most religious person. It is always nice to have a community of people around you that love you no matter what."
