All types of desserts, regardless of where they are from, can leave your mouth watering for more and fulfill your sugar cravings. If you have ever wondered where you can go to get the best desserts in town, there are plenty of options.
If you’re craving cupcakes, Gigi’s Cupcakes is a bakery located near campus which has a wide range of artistically done cupcakes such as chocolate chip cookie dough, Scarlett’s red velvet, triple chocolate torte, dark chocolate cherry, confetti fun and many more other flavors -- which can be ordered singularly or in a variety box.
Interested in frozen custard, froyo, or other desserts? “We serve custards, cakes, pies.” Rachel Mitchell, who works at Ritter’s Frozen Custard, said. One of their specialties is frozen custards, “It’s a lot creamier than other ice-cream places because it has egg in it,” Mitchell shared, “And it tastes better.”
“A lot of people get our peanut butter mountain. It’s a sundae with cream cheese, peanut butter and vanilla custard,” Mitchell continued.
If you’re more interested in ice cream, check out The Inside Scoop. You will find flavors such as mocha chip, strawberry, razzle dazzle fudge, vanilla and even banana pudding. “I would say the one we have would be banana pudding because it’s ice cream but tastes just like regular vanilla pudding,” said Mariah Elridge, who is an employee at The Inside Scoop in Fairborn.
For a surprise specialty, “we have a specialty sundae that customers tend to like called the Buckeye sundae. It’s three scoops of chocolate chaos ice cream with peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, and chunks of reesey cups on top with whip cream, nuts, and a cherry,” Elridge said.
Whether it’s a bakery or an ice cream shop, Fairborn and the local areas have all types of desserts for your interest.
