This historical fiction book by Delia Owens has sat on the New York Times Bestseller List for 162 weeks, according to The New York Times. The story revolves around a woman raised in the marshes of North Carolina in the 1950s, who is the prime suspect in a murder case.
The novel has been adapted into a movie, set to release July 15, 2022.
