For students with dogs or a fondness for “man’s best friend,” you have probably wondered what dog breed you would be. Based on your zodiac sign, the answer is finally here.
Aries
As an Aries, you are most similar to a beagle. While this breed may not be the big, scary dog many people would imagine a stereotypical Aries to be, beagles and their personalities more than make up for what they lack in intimidating appearance.
Energetic, playful and highly social, beagles hit all the marks for an Aries. Beagles tend to be stubborn dogs, but the connections they develop with those they love is all-too similar to the first zodiac sign.
Taurus
As a Taurus, you are most similar to a Saint Bernard. This big, soft dog perfectly fits the personality of a laid-back Taurus. Despite their size, Saint Bernards are incredibly relaxed and tend to be quite friendly.
Saint Bernards can be hard workers as well; though a Taurus may not relate to this trait as much, their loyalty and affectionate personalities line up perfectly with the gentle giant breed.
Gemini
As a Gemini, you are most similar to a doberman pinscher. With their imposing appearance and busy personalities, many Geminis can relate to how dobermans are viewed.
Dobermans are very active dogs who enjoy running around and interacting with as many things and people as possible. They are also quite intelligent and take to training quite well. A Gemini’s active personality and constant trips would support the perfect life for a doberman.
Cancer
As a Cancer, you are most similar to a pitbull. While this analysis may seem surprising, the traits line up perfectly. Pitbulls are often misinterpreted as being violent or otherwise aggressive, when in reality, they are big lovebugs. A Cancer may be seen as over-the-top or emotional when they really just have a big heart.

As a Leo, you are most similar to a cocker spaniel. These dogs are obsessed with family and adore the companionship of both humans and other dogs, something Leos relate to when it comes to their friends.
Cocker spaniels are also quite affectionate and are always up to do something fun with loved ones, just like Leos!
Virgo
As a Virgo, you are most similar to a basset hound. Similar to beagles, this breed can be stubborn, something the hard-working Virgo may not want to admit is relatable. While Virgos may have a more high-maintenance life, their affection for those around them more than makes up for it.
Whether a Virgo relates to the droopy, tired eyes that are a distinct characteristic of basset hounds is something they may not want to disclose. Get some rest, Virgos!
Libra
As a Libra, you are most similar to a border collie. This energetic and kind of crazy dog breed requires high maintenance and relies on constant distractions, something a Libra will find incredibly relatable. They also love a small group of specific people.
Downtime is not something a border collie often considers, just like the Libra.
Scorpio
As a Scorpio, you are most similar to a shiba inu. Shiba inus, while a courageous and kind dog, are incredibly confident in themselves. Just like a Scorpio, a shiba inu is overly confident and will try to take the role of leader if they believe themselves worthy of the title—which they always believe!
The mild behavior issues of this breed can be overlooked by their adorable appearance and personality, something a Scoprio may also have and use to their advantage.
Sagittarius
As a Saggitarius, you are most similar to a German shepherd. As one of the most popular dog breeds, German shepherds are loyal and protective of those they love, just like a Saggitarius. This breed is also devoted to its love of exploring and adventure, something a Saggitarius will find perfect for their own personality of journeying.
If you have a roadtrip or similar adventure planned, a German shepherd would be the perfect travel companion!
Capricorn
As a Capricorn, you are most similar to a chihuahua. And no, this is not because of their stereotypical shaky, nervous or over-the-top personalities. When socialized and treated right by their owners, chihuahuas are lively and loving dogs who have more affection in them than their little bodies can take.
Chihuahuas are also dedicated to their people and have very strong-willed personalities, something a Capricorn will appreciate.
Aquarius
As an Aquarius, you are most similar to a corgi. An emotional and oftentimes loud breed, corgis are loved despite their flaws thanks to their cute appearance and energetic love that they have to offer to everyone around them.
Just like an Aquarius, corgis also tend to be very outgoing!
Pisces
As a Pisces, you are most similar to a dachshund. A very independent breed, dachshunds are also loved for their sweet personalities that will have those around them forgiving them when they run off. While a Pisces may not literally run off, they may disappear for periods of time, something their friends will find hard to understand.
