Dayton offers tons of entertainment and festivities when it comes to the Fourth of July. From food trucks to fireworks, here are the best celebrations in the area.

Dayton

For the second year in a row, the City of Dayton will not be having their annual street festival at Riverscape due to staffing shortages.

However, the city still plans on holding their annual “Lights in Flight” fireworks show at Kettering Field on July 3, starting at 10 p.m.

Beavercreek

The City of Beavercreek has plenty to offer when it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July.

The city will be hosting a parade starting at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Meadow Bridge Drive and Dayton-Xenia Road. The parade will continue east and end near Beavercreek High School.

Following the parade, the celebration will continue at Rotary Park with live music, entertainment, food trucks, inflatables and a firework show at 10 p.m.

Fairborn

The City of Fairborn is kicking the celebration off early with a block party downtown on July 3 at 4 p.m. The party will have various food trucks, crafts and vendors and will last until 10 p.m.

On July 4, the city will hold their annual Independence Day Parade. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will follow a route from Central Ave. to Main St.

After the parade, the celebrations will continue at Community Park with food trucks and fireworks.

Yellow Springs

The Village of Yellow Springs will kick-off celebrations on July 4 with its annual parade at 2 p.m. The parade will start behind the fire station at Xenia Ave. and Herman St. and will head down Xenia Ave. towards Corry St.

Following the parade, the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce is hosting a party in Gaunt Park. Food trucks will start serving at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks are expected to go off after sunset.

Kettering

The City of Kettering is upgrading their celebrations by adding a drone show along with their traditional fireworks. The event will take place on July 4, at Delco Park from 6 to 10 p.m.

The celebration also includes bounce houses, food trucks, entertainment with roaming performers and a DJ.
