Student Press Freedom Day: “At the Fore Front”

Today, we celebrate the courage and dedication of student journalists who stand “At the Forefront” of truth and storytelling.

At its core, student journalism is about more than just reporting—it’s about amplifying voices, revealing hidden stories and challenging the status quo. From campus news to deep investigative reporting, student journalists shed light on untold narratives and give a platform to marginalized communities. They don’t just observe—they act as catalysts for change, advocating for transparency, accountability and social justice.

Today, we stand proud at the forefront of student journalism, dedicated to the principles of free speech and a free press. Thank you for supporting our mission and our voice.

Below is two collections of photos taken by our photographers. The first is a tour of our office, including our staff's desks and some hidden Gems. This space is vital to the operations of the Wright State Guardian. It is our safe space, where free speech can be upheld and the most important stories can be told.

The second is a collection of photos of our staff members in action. While we may not always be onsite at major breaking news, we are at the fore front of journalism, telling stories and investigating the truth everyday.
