The game
The Wright State Raiders are set to play the University of Dayton Flyers in a baseball matchup at Day Air Ballpark on April 29. Day Air Ballpark is home of the Dayton Dragons, Dayton's minor league baseball team. This is the fifth year that the game will be held.
Both teams are buzzing with excitement as they gear up to face off. In the past, the Flyers beat the Raiders, 8-3. This year, the Raiders are eager to claim the win for WSU. Alex Sogard, the Raiders' head coach, is excited to play.
“It's always a great honor and opportunity to play at Day Air Ballpark. Dayton is such a great baseball town, it's an awesome experience for our players, and it will be a great event for the greater Dayton area. We need Raider nation to rally the troops and show up to make it a home game for the battle of the Gem City," Sogard said.
The game will begin at 7p .m. with a Wright State Pregame scheduled to take place at Dayton Beer Company at 4 p.m. Gates will open an hour before the first pitch.
Tickets are free for all Wright State University and University of Dayton Students. Otherwise, it is $5 for children (14 and younger) and $10 for adults. Day Air also has luxury boxes available for a premium price.
