Every year, a month is set aside to celebrate female success. A month to celebrate every single accomplishment by a woman in every field, from arts to sports to science; sounds good, right? Not really.
With student loans and debt weighing newly-graduated students down, it’s safe to say people scramble for a well-paying job. “Well-paying job” usually translates to one that traps you in a cubicle from 9am to 5pm. However, there’s a world of unconventional jobs out there that pay you as much as a desk job.
“At my first basketball game, I was like, ‘there’s no student section,’” said Erik Austin, president of the Rowdy Raiders. “And then we decided to do something about it,” said Lucio D. Lombardo, vice president of the Rowdy Raiders.
On April 11, the annual Student Leadership Awards will take place in the Student Union Apollo Room. The awards ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.
