During the insanity of March Madness, many people are looking for the best place to eat good food and watch college basketball. When it comes to the Fairborn/Beavercreek area, there are a plethora of options to fit all budgets and food preferences.
In today’s world, it really isn’t hard to find a restaurant with a TV in it. Even the more modern McDonalds tend to have a TV that can play March Madness games. However, this probably wouldn’t be the best atmosphere to watch a game in, and for some people like Gordon Hurley, WSU senior, the atmosphere is the most important part.
“For me, the most important part of a good march madness restaurant is the atmosphere,” he said. “It can’t be a place that is just boring. That’s why I really like sports bars. They have the atmosphere of beer, wings, and just an overall excitement for sports.”
There are quite a few sports bars and restaurants in this area. The big one is Buffalo Wild Wings, which is known for its impressive amount of TV’s and draft beers on tap. Coming here will allow you to watch multiple games at once, which is a huge plus for fans who want to follow their brackets.
Another place with lots of TV’s and good food is Milano’s. They are a local favorite in the Dayton area for providing an excellent setting to watch sports and have a good time.
“By far my favorite place is Milano’s,” Hurley said. “They are known for the burgers and beer but for me I think their flatbread pizza is to die for. They are defiantly generous on the toppings which appeals to me.”
If restaurants don’t appeal to you, there are several smaller sports bars in the area such as Tuty’s bar and One Eyed Jacks, both very close to WSU’s campus. These options offer more of a bar like setting to watch March Madness in, which may be more relaxing to some fans.
The best place to take in the game may vary for you, but Fairborn is the perfect place to find out this March.
