When it comes to finding places to eat on campus, there are several spots with a variety of options. Students can get food from the Union Market in the Student Union, The Hangar in Allyn Hall, the ReyRey Cafe in Rike Hall and Starbucks on Dunbar Library’s first floor.

Dining Hours on Campus

The Dine On Campus website for Wright State University (WSU) lists the hours for each location. On top of that, the main page for the Dine On Campus website allows students to see most of what is served at all venues offered at both the main and Lake campus.

On Aug. 28 Wright State Communications announced the Union Market in the Student Union will be closed until Sept. 3. Wright State Hospitality Services Facebook or Twitter pages will provide updates.

The Union Market introduced new venues this year including Wild Pie, Absurd Bird and Tu Taco.

The Hanger introduced a new venue called Bowl Life. It offers a variety of options ranging from a spicy tofu breakfast bowl to a barbeque bowl. Using the ‘Create Your Own’ option allows endless combinations.

After a year with virtual classes, WSU’s on-campus coffee shops are back. ReyRey Cafe runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Starbucks, located in Dunbar Library, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Fridays.

The Reynolds Espresso Lane, located in Russ Hall, has not been open this semester.

Dining Experiences

One of the more popular dining locations on campus is the Dunbar Library Starbucks.

Professor Erin Flanagan says that this very location is her favorite place to go.

“[The] cafe misto is always the treat that gets me to the library to work,” she said.

Taylor Piel, who uses the library to work from home, loves the cold brew that is served. One of the other major qualities that she loves about this location is the people that work behind the counter.

“[The workers] try and make an effort to have a conversation with you,” Taylor said. “The fact that you can place an order for a cold brew with two extra shots and they ask ‘did the storm keep you awake, come to get your caffeine fix’ makes it more personal.”
