April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. According to Know Your IX, 1-in-10 college students will be sexually assaulted during their time at university. Different organizations on campus have worked to make students aware of sexual assault and their rights as students.
On March 30, the Apollo Room housed the Wright State Rainbow Alliance’s 20th annual Drag Show. Drag queen Cherry Poppins was the MC, and the event also featured Johnny Justice, Jackie O, Riley Poppyseed, Augustus Snatch, Amaya Sexton and Scarlet Fever. Also in attendance were many ambassadors promoting sexual health and drug safety.
The position of Student Government Association president is a large role with many responsibilities. With SGA elections right around the corner, students must pick the president they feel will best represent their interests.
On Tuesday, April 9, in the Student Union Atrium, Residence Life and Housing will partner with Project Linus to make blankets for children in the hospital.
