I tried all fall menu items so you didn’t have to, here’s my spooky season review of your local foodie places that have a fall menu item.

Here is my review ranked by pumpkins ( 🎃 ) :

Starbucks: Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

This cold brew treat wasn’t what I was expecting. It’s a regular cold brew with a light and frothy pumpkin foam on top. You can mix it all together or leave the foam to sit above depending on your style; it depends on how you drink it.

The brew was strong and had a very potent taste in comparison to the cream.

It’s a simpler pumpkin treat so if you’re into a full-blown fall flavor, this isn’t your typical pumpkin spice latte. I’m more of a basic witch so this one wasn’t for me.

Winans Fine Chocolates and Coffees: Chaider

This warm combination is definitely one of my seasonal favorites. I enjoy apple cider warm or cold depending on the day, however, I chose to go the hot route to embrace the season. This twist on a classic did not disappoint.

I don’t frequently lean towards chai so this was quite a surprise. Apple cider with the additional cinnamon taste really gave a different dimension to the original.

I’ll definitely be treatin’ myself to a few more before they’re gone.

Reyrey Cafe: Candy Corn Espresso

I’m not really a fan of candy corn due to its plastic texture and waxy coating, but the flavor itself isn’t bad. My thought was, it would be the perfect fit because I’d be able to bypass the texture.

I was taken a back by the bitterness and wasn’t able to taste a strong candy corn flavor.

Will not be having another. This was more of a trick than a treat.

Coffee Hub Beavercreek:

Coffee Hub was a full-blown experience. The homestyle local business really delivered and surpassed any expectations I had. The atmosphere gives a unique, modern flair that makes it easy to feel welcome.

They’re new to Beavercreek and were adamant about having me try more than one of their fall items.

Caramel Apple Blast

Their Caramel Apple Blast is a ‘warm and cozy’ type beverage that modifies old-fashioned apple cider. It comes with a sweet, cinnamon foam on top that reminded me of apple crisp. It’s a texture barrier that brings the drink to the next level. It was indeed fangtastic.

Honey Cinnamon Chai

I followed up with a Honey Cinnamon Chai which was highly recommended by the staff.

It’s referred to as a ‘dirty chai’, due to the shot of espresso that gives quite a kick.

It’s topped with a thin layer of foam, that in my opinion, wasn’t needed.

However, it was unboolievable, regardless.

I highly recommend taking a step outside of your comfort zone this Spooky Season and having a beverage that’s on the seasonal menu board.

There’s a good chance you’ll fall in love with something new.

Happy haunting Raiders!
