Picnk Meals | Submission by Karlee Mason | The Wright State Guardian
Meal prep continues to gain traction on social media as a means of achieving a balanced, healthy and convenient lifestyle. Picnk Dayton is a local meal prep company that seeks to serve Dayton-inspired dishes that are quick, delicious and fresh.
About Picnk
Picnk was founded by Wright State University (WSU) alumni Will Foster. Foster studied Sports Science and graduated from WSU in 2017 before beginning his career as a personal trainer. He observed a need for nutritional services and combined his passions for food and fitness to form this business.
“We have an extensive menu with plenty of options for all dietary needs,” Foster said.

Picnk currently operates out of the Five Seasons Sports Club in Bellbrook and utilizes its kitchen to prepare meals for its customers. Orders can be placed on their website and are due by 6 p.m. on Saturday to be picked up on Sunday or delivered on Monday.
“Being Dayton-inspired food we build aspects of the local community into our menu and utilize products from other small businesses,” Foster said.
One Dayton-inspired item on their menu is their Beer Mac N Cheese that includes beer from Dayton’s Toxic Brew Company.
Customer Input
Kelly Ives heard about Picnk because Foster was her personal trainer before developing this business. Ives observed the company’s growth and is inspired by its mission to provide healthy food, implement eco-friendly packaging and make a difference in the Dayton community.
“I love everything that Picnk stands for! They give back to the community in so many ways. I love supporting a young, local company,” Ives said.
Emmaline Raines is a dental student at Sinclair Community College. She values her health and is happy to have found a healthy alternative to fast food when she is rushing to find something to eat.
“Finding affordable and healthy food is such a struggle. I am a college student and work full time, so I am always rushing around. Their peanut-butter bites are a lifesaver when I need a quick snack,” Raines said.
WSU and Picnk
Foster is proud to be a WSU alumnus and hopes that current students will try Picnk and use their coupon code “wsu2021” to get 15% off every time they order.
“After spending time at Wright State and getting to know the Dayton area I knew that I wanted to be in this city for a while. The city has an extensive history of innovation and entrepreneurship. Currently, so many things are happening downtown and in the surrounding areas so to be a part of that is truly an honor,” Foster said.
