Sophomore Tavares Sledge suspended for two games

Wright Sate announced Wednesday that men’s basketball sophomore Tavares Sledge will be suspended for the opening two games of the regular season for “violation of team policy.”

The 6’9 forward from Mobile, AL will not participate in WSU’s first two regular season games (Friday at Idaho and Tuesday at Eastern Illinois).

Sledge is expected to be ready to go for WSU’s home opener against North Carolina A&T on Nov. 16.

Sledge had four points and two rebounds in limited playing time this past Friday against Central State, quickly picking up three fouls in the process.
