Viva holding fashion show featuring Ohio designers

The “Encore” Fashion Show will feature 12 top-notch designers from Ohio. Each designer will have five minutes to showcase their designs on their selected models.

The fashion show will be held Feb. 1 in the Apollo Room. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show is from 7-10 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $5 or $10 at the door. Kids under 10 are free.

The designer’s fashion picks are a surprise.

“Students can learn how to dress from not just run-way kind of styles, but everyday styles for school. The clothes will be the uniqueness of the show,” junior and President of Wright State’s Viva Models, Chandra Hayes said.

The models are not all students. They are people who practice modeling and have experience. The models are all shapes and sizes and there is no discrimination against gender. This show’s models have already been individually chosen by a designer from past try-outs. The seventh scene of the show will be models representing Wright State. The show will also feature dancers and performers.

There will also be another fashion show, “Dress for Success,” a show modeling professional attire for the work environment. The show is April 12, and sponsored by the Dean.
