Volleyball falls to Green Bay

Wright State’s volleyball team put up a valiant effort, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Green Bay as the Raiders fell in four sets.

After falling behind two sets to none, the Raiders (12-14, 1-10) showed resolve, taking a tightly contested third set, 25-21.

“They play hard—they fight. We were down a lot in the fourth set and they came back. I think that shows their character,” coach Susan Clements said.

Green Bay dominated nearly every set that they won, with advantages of 25-18, 25-17 and 26-24 in the final set.

“We can’t go in the locker room every time down 0-2 and try to fight back. It’s just really difficult,” coach Susan Clements said.

Katie Klusman and Marisa Aiello led the way for Wright State with 13 and 11 kills respectively.

The team’s final home game is Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. in McLin Gymnasium.

“Tomorrow’s another opportunity to get our second win,” Clements said.
