As winter approaches and the holiday season beckons, here is a guide detailing what activities are occurring in the coming months.

Five Rivers MetroParks Ice Rink

The outdoor ice skating rink is located under the pavilion at RiverScape MetroPark, 237 E. Monument Ave. The rink will be open from Nov. 25, 2022 to Feb. 26, 2023.

Visitors can enjoy skating on the rink for $7, and for those under three years of age, admission is free. Season passes are also available via the MetroParks website. Ice skates are also accessible to rent for $3.

Pictures with Santa

The Greene Town Center located in Beavercreek will offer pictures with Santa between Nov. 19 and Dec. 24.

The Cincinnati Zoo

Take a trip with the family or a significant other to Cincinnati to see the zoo and botanical garden. The Festival of Lights will surely make it an extra special visit. The festival is open now until Jan. 8, 2023. There is even a sensory-friendly Santa for the little ones to experience.

The Dayton Art Institute

Head over to the Dayton Art Institute where children can go for free and students get discounts with student identification cards.

Now through Jan. 15, 2023 there is a special exhibit on “American Myth & Memory” with a focus on the photography of David Levinthal, as well as exhibitions from Joe Fig and Netsuke and the Art of Little Wonders.

Victoria Theatre

Victoria Theater in downtown Dayton features special events and live theater.
