Two national publications ranked Wright State University programs highly, including the entrepreneurship and human factors engineering master’s programs, awarding the university for the effort it has put into its graduate opportunities.
The awards
The Raj Soin College of Business offers the entrepreneurship master’s degree. The Princeton Review ranked this program 43rd out of 50 of the 300 schools in the country that offer the program. Out of the colleges in the midwest, it placed 8th.
Students who are in this program claim that it is a gratifying experience and a worthwhile program to be involved in.
“I am learning a lot,” Abhishek Abhishek, a student in the program, said. “I have been pleased with the results of the program. I really think it’s a solid program for me.”
The U.S. News & World Report ranked the WSU human factors engineering master's, which is an online option from the College of Engineering and Computer Science, 37th out of the 108 programs around the nation.
Students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science say that the program is a rewarding one to be a part of.
“I like the faculty [in the college],” Chris Nodel, a computer science major, explained. “They know what they are doing, and they are helpful when you ask for it.”
Academic excellence
Dr. Shu Schiller is the interim dean of the College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies at Wright State. She and her team have been hard at work improving these programs for students.
“We work to make sure that students get their money’s worth,” Schiller said. “We know that these programs can be pricey, so we make sure that we put in the work to really develop these programs.”
Schiller and her team’s efforts have been rewarded. For several years, WSU has been nationally ranked for different programs and opportunities.
Graduate programs are an important aspect of WSU, and thanks to the work of Schiller and others, the university is a respected choice for students to pursue graduate degrees.
