This week, the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine with Keith Reisinger-Kindle, assistant professor and associate program director of obstetrics and gynecology, and Erica Taylor, assistant professor of pediatrics, received a three-year grant of $750,000 to expand on antiracism and social justice training.

Lebron James breaks NBA record

Los Angeles Lakers forward Lebron James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time leading scorer in NBA history.

“You haven’t just made basketball great, you brought basketball to another realm entirely,” the Lakers shared on Twitter

President delivers speech

On Feb. 7, President Joseph Biden delivered the State of the Union speech to members of Congress. The speech focused on protecting social security and medicare.

“Let’s all agree to stand up for seniors, stand up and show them we will not cut social security, we will not cut Medicare,” the president said during the address.

On Feb. 6, according to White House officials in a press release, a devastating earthquake hit Turkiye and Syria. 

President Biden expressed condolences and announced rescue efforts and support. 

“At my direction, senior American officials reached out immediately to their Turkish counterparts to coordinate any and all needed assistance,” Biden said in the release.
