About

The Wright State Guardian is the premier news source for everything Wright State for the Wright State University community and Raider Country, the 16-county region in Ohio anchored by our two campuses.

Founded in 1965, The Wright State Guardian is your direct access to over 120,000 people. The Wright State Guardian moved completely online in 2017 and is now rebranded as The Wright State Guardian Media Group. In addition to posting content online daily, we also produce TikToks, the Raider Report podcast, and are working on a new project: Flight Magazine.

During the regular school year, The Wright State Guardian posts breaking news and stories online daily. The Wright State Guardian features news about issues relevant to Wright State University, college students in general, and topics pertaining to the greater Miami Valley area and the state of Ohio.

In 2019, The Wright State Guardian started reporting from the Wright State Lake Campus in Celina, Ohio. We currently have a Laker Life reporter and a graphic designer at Lake Campus and we are working to grow our Laker Life team.

Experience: The Wright State Guardian offers several student positions that provide experience in Journalism, Photography, Graphic Design, Advertising and Marketing.

The Wright State Guardian is always accepting Wright State student interns in all fields. No pre-requisites are required to intern, just a good work ethic and a commitment to the organization.

For any questions or internship inquiries, please contact the Editor-in-Chief at guardian1@wright.edu.
