What to do in Dayton for the weekend:

Looking for something fun and exciting to do this weekend? Check out a few of these events going on locally!

Friday Sept 21:

Dayton Music Fest – This is the 14th annual festival at the Yellow Cab Tavern, Blind Bob’s, and Trolley Stop in the Oregon District of downtown Dayton. This weekend long event will feature homegrown artists and guests performing at the three locations. For the Yellow Cab Tavern those that are over the age of 18 can attend and at Blind Bob’s and Trolley Stop guests are required to be over 21.

Land of Illusion – From 8pm to 2am Land of Illusion Scream Park located 8762 Thomas Road, Middletown will provide hours of Halloween fun. The price is $35 at the gate but if you purchase online it’s $29.99. The park features five haunts, four thrill rides, three stages and two bars. There will be live music at 9pm featuring DJ Chris Lutz.

Live Music at the Greene – Located in Beavercreek, The Greene offers not just dining and shopping but also live music from 6 to 10pm. This event is free for all ages.

Silent Disco at Therapy Cafe – From 9pm to 2am at Therapy Cafe, located 452 E 3rd Street in Dayton. For those 18 and up enjoy this unique experience of three different DJs with three different genres of music to choose from. The cost is $10 under 21 and $5 for those over 21.

Saturday Sept 22:

Second Street Market – Located 600 E 2nd Street in Dayton, the market is unique experience of fresh food, bakery items, artisan product and a variety of 40 vendors. The historical freight house will give a vintage vibe to the bustling activity of the market. Open from 8am to 3pm with live music from 10am to 1pm

Yellow Springs Zombie Walk – From 3 to 9pm Yellow Springs will host their 10th annual Zombie Walk fundraiser. There will be craft vendors, live music, face painting, raffles, costume contests and food trucks. The event will be located at 100 block of Corry Street.
