WSU Police: Fifth theft in last six weeks

Through a campus-wide e-mail, the Wright State Police Department notified students and staff Thursday morning of another auto break-in this time taking place Tuesday evening on campus.

The break-in happened between 10:07-10:22 p.m. Tuesday evening and occured in WSU Lot 16. Lot 16 is the lot behind White Hall and is near the corner of Loop and Center Roads.

Tuesday’s theft was the fifth on campus in the last six weeks. A previous theft took place on Oct. 14 in Lot 2 near the Student Union in the evening.

The previous three thefts from motor vehicles came during the daytime hours. Two of which took place in Lot 4 and the other happened in Lot 6.

WSU Police is asking any individuals with knowledge of the crimes to contact campus police at (937) 775-2111.

A message was left for WSU Police Sergeant Patrick Ammon.
