M.A.C.E. Welcome Reception

Wright State University’s Division of Multicultural Affairs and Community Engagement (MACE) will host their 2015-2016 Welcome Reception Today, Sept. 18 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Millet atrium.

“This event is largely held to introduce the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Community Engagement to the campus and their new initiatives that students can learn about and get involved in,” said Josh Scacco, Graduate Assistant for Wright State’s Department of LGBTQA Affairs and representative of MACE.

Food will be available for the public beginning at 3 p.m. Then, at 3:30 p.m., the attendees will be addressed with speeches by Dr. David Hopkins, President of Wright State University, Dr. Kimberly Barrett, Vice President of MACE as well as introductions from other representatives from MACE’s affiliated organizations and divisions. Barrett and Hopkins will also present the Goldenburg Quest for Community Award.

Alongside the speeches, Mr. Chris Nimmer will present a native flute presentation, and tables will be set up by organizations to give attendees additional information about various programs and events.
