“Us” is the latest horror movie from director Jordan Peele, who is fresh off the Academy-Award-winning film “Get Out” (2017).

Lupita Nyong’o stars as a woman who is on vacation with her husband, played by Winston Duke, and their two children.

Thirty years earlier while on vacation with her parents at a fair, Nyong’o’s character had a traumatic experience, and ever since then, she has been living with demons.

While on vacation this time, her family runs into another family of doppelgangers who are out to kill them, similar to the experience Nyong’o went through all those years ago.

This movie had some scares in it, but the best part about it will be the fact that it will stick with you and keep you up at night.

Jordan Peele has truly become an incredible horror movie director with this movie and “Get Out.” It is awesome to see the guy from “Key & Peele” do a complete 180 and turn his career in a new and exciting direction.

“Get Out” was such a pleasant surprise and now after “Us,” Peele has set such a standard for any film that he will be a part of in the future. Anyone who sees this movie will eagerly be anticipating whatever comes next from him.

The cast does such a great job as well with the short amount of time they can get the audience to care about them.

You will be rooting for every single member of this family to make it out alive.

Any time that it seems like one of them might not be able to survive, it will leave you anxious and tense waiting to see what happens.

Nyong’o is fantastic in this movie, but everyone should just come to expect that from her by now. Duke is definitely the standout from the movie, however, he will be the character that will get the most reaction out of the audience when on screen.

This movie is sometimes a little too ambitious for its own good, especially as the movie comes closer to the ending. That isn’t a bad thing though, as for some, the ending will pay off, and for some, it won’t, but it is refreshing to see a movie that takes a chance.

This is the type of movie that people must see and must see with a group of people.

After the credits end, this film will be something that you and your friends will talk about for the rest of the day.
