Mikesells closing its doors

After 113 years in Dayton, Mikesell’s chips announced closure of the business.

“The Mikesell’s family and team wish to thank the community, consumers and partners for their love and support over the past 112 plus years,” the company shared on its Facebook page.

Wright State University identity centers welcome new staff

This week, Wright State University introduced two new staff members into the Division of Inclusive Excellence. The new assistant director of the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center is Kimberly Collins, and the new assistant director of the Asian and Native American Center is Dr. Nicolyn Woodcock.

Tom Brady, seven-time Super Bowl champion, announced retirement from football after 23 seasons on a personal Twitter account.

“Thank you, guys, for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. I love you all,” Brady said in a tweet.

On Monday, Jan. 30, a terrorist attack that caused the death of over 100 people occurred at a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan.

“Terrorism is indefensible, and to target worshippers is unconscionable. The United States stands ready to provide support to Pakistan in its efforts to recover and rebuild,” National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a White House press briefing
