Wright State will provide shuttle to Renaissance Festival

Wright State University will provide a shuttle to students interested in attending the Renaissance Festival at 9:15 a.m. and return at 6 p.m on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Students must purchase their tickets for the festival at the Student Union, room 023.  Tickets are $9.50 each. University ID will be required to purchase tickets, and it is cash only.

There is a RSVP form online for students to fill out here.

Those attending will meet at the front of the Student Union by 9:15 a.m. The theme for the weekend is ‘Time Traveler’s Weekend’ and participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite character inspired by a movie, TV show, comic, or Sci-Fi.

The Renaissance Festival is an annual event held from Sept. 2 – Oct. 29 in Harveysburg, Ohio. This event features a medieval landscape and shops, along with characters dressed as knights, nobility and other 16th century costumes. The festival also holds live entertainment and other activities for those of all ages.

The is organized through the Residence Life and Housing on campus.  According to Shantelle Binfet, Vice President of the Residential Community Association (RCA), this is the first time in years that RCA is providing a shuttle to the Renaissance Festival.
