Where to go for your next Taco Tuesday

While Tuesday isn’t the only day you should eat tacos, they somehow taste so much better when you eat them while saying “Taco Tuesday!” Around Wright State, there are many options for quality tacos, each depending on the discretion of an individual.

Women, gender and sexuality studies major, Petey Sanchez says he celebrates Taco Tuesdays as much as he can, but not too often, averaging around once a month. “I only ever go to Taco Bell or I make them at home. I go to Taco Bell —  because it’s Taco Bell — and I love everything there, and to make them at home is very cheap.”

Sanchez believes the best tacos are eaten while surrounded by friends, especially if it’s a chicken taco.

While Taco Bell is probably the most typical option for college students, with it being so close, convenient, cheap and still delicious, there are more expensive options in the area that tend to have better quality ingredients.

The next step up from Taco Bell is probably Hot Head Burritos and Chipotle. These are at the same level only because there is so much debate over which is the better restaurant. Both allow customers to completely customize their meal with fresh ingredients and get in and out fairly quickly.

Just across the street from campus sits an El Rancho Grande. You can get delicious enchiladas, burritos and of course tacos from this chain of Mexican cuisine.

One of the top rated menus in the area is Don Patron Mexican Grill & Bar in the University Shoppes Shopping Center. This restaurant is slightly more expensive than the other options, but is great for college students who enjoy having a taco and a beer in one sitting.
