Winter weather to impact Greene County area

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the majority of Central, South Central, Southwest and West Central Ohio until 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16.

Snow is expected to enter the area and accumulate at around 8 p.m. – 9 p.m. Snow will switch to freezing rain at around 4 a.m. before tapering off.

Freezing rain into rain will continue on Monday eventually turning into rain/snow mix conditions. It is expected that snow will return on Tuesday. Hazardous conditions are also expected both Monday and Tuesday mornings.

The Dayton area is forecasted at around three inches of snow and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch.

Temperatures will warm into the upper 30’s in the afternoon.

Hazardous road conditions are expected Sunday night into Monday morning. Take additional time and be cautious during your commute.
