With the fall semester quickly approaching for the Wright State University campus community, here are the best of Dayton’s Not Dead businesses that offer chill activities to cope with the stress of a new semester. 

Picture Perfect Paint Parties

Picture Perfect is an art and painting studio in downtown Dayton. The studio, run and owned by Dana Calhoun, features a unique space where groups can gather to learn how to make artwork. 

The studio features a variety of party, canvas and paint options, including hosting away events. One to two-hour group sessions begin at $38.

Now and Zen 

Another art studio and shop in downtown Dayton perfect for groups or individuals is the Now and Zen DIY Studio. The studio focuses on terrariums, plants, crystals and DIY kits.

The shop also features a terrarium workshop where customers can make personalized terrariums. The shop is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with workshops on a reservation basis.

Speakeasy Yoga

Those looking for a more active experience can check out Speakeasy Yoga in Dayton. The accessible yoga studio features various classes both in-person and virtual for a variety of fitness levels. 

The studio has yearly, monthly and daily class passes with discounts available for students and first responders. Hours and sessions vary with the schedule available on the business website.
